Sandy Mau
Sandy Mau is vice president and a senior analyst, and has been with Health2 Resources since 2001. With more than 25 years’ experience in health care communications and policy analysis, her areas of expertise include the medical home, advanced primary care, health IT, health insurance exchanges, health reform, care coordination, workplace health and population health management. She works with clients to help them reach their organizational goals by providing communications and policy expertise. Her primary duties encompass project management, client account management and communication plan development and implementation.
Prior to working for Health2 Resources, she was a freelance writer covering health care policy and practice. She previously served as director of marketing and communications for a standalone hospital, and then oversaw external communications as it grew into a network of five hospitals, home health agencies, durable medical equipment companies, a nursing home and health club facility. Ms. Mau's responsibilities included marketing, public relations, community relations and publications oversight during this period of substantial growth. She began her writing career as an award-winning beat reporter for a daily newspaper; she also has a background in broadcasting. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of California, San Diego.
